Your dogs first day at PQ!

We are super excited to be welcoming your pooch to the PQ Gang – no matter how confident, shy, relaxed or energetic they will fit right in and make pals in no time! When the school bus arrives please ensure you have the following ready:

  • If your pooch is under 12 months please ensure you pack their lunch in a labelled Tupperware box – we will give it to them in a private place away from others.

  • Their Collar/Harness with ID tag – don’t worry about a lead we will use our own.

  • A coat for the cold and rainy days.

  • Remember you must be contactable during the whole trial day and prepared to collect you pooch if they do not settle in well (although this rarely happens)!

Pick-up and drop home.

  • Pick-up and drop-home times will vary from one day to the next.

  • We will text you with an ETA the evening before collection so you can have your doggy ready.

  • Please ensure they’re ready for collection by having lunch (if under 12 months), money, collar/harness, coat ready and making sure your dog has been for their morning toilets! This will help keep journey times as short as possible for all the doggies.

  • If you are not home during pick-up or drop-home we offer a key holding service. We are fully insured for this and keep your personal information separate to your key. Please talk to your “designated driver” for more information.

General Rules.

  • All dogs must be up-to-date with their vaccinations including Kennel Cough and a copy of this must be sent to pawquarters@gmail.com. (It is your responsibility to email the updated copy of this after your dogs visit to the vets).

  • Starter Forms to be completed and emailed back before your dogs first day at Paw Quarters.

  • We do not accept male dogs between the ages of 8 - 24 months that have not been castrated.

  • All dogs must wear either a collar or harness with name tag every visit. We do not feed dogs lunch over the age of 12 months unless they have special requirements.

  • We recommend you regularly flea and worm your dog as advised by you vets.

  • Please provide your dog with a coat for the winter months – we highly recommend “Equa Fleece” and to avoid any coats with Velcro as they usually fall apart!

  • Please notify us if your dog suffers from food allergies – we would ask you provide special treats so they don’t miss out on treat time!

  • Please ensure that you are contactable whilst your dog is at day care – this is essential on their trail day.

  • Females that are in season cannot attend PQ – once their bleeding has stopped they will require a further 2 weeks off.

• We advise you to book a regular slot - we have a limited number of spaces and by you securing a regular set day it will avoid disappointment.
